Description
740 HT/HTE Kiwi Kraft Hardtop is a 7.4 m offshore-capable aluminium pontoon hardtop designed and built in New Zealand to NZ CPC and MSA standards. With a deep-vee hull, multiple sealed pontoon buoyancy chambers and Hush Tec technology, it is configured for serious coastal and blue-water fishing while offering protected hardtop shelter and flexible seating and cabin arrangements.
The 740 HT/HTE features a robust 5 mm hull with 4 mm deck and pontoons, generous beam and high internal freeboard for security at sea. The hardtop configuration (HT) is rated for up to 9 people, while the enclosed hardtop version (HTE) increases capacity to 10 people and can be optioned with additional fuel capacity. Practical fishing and family features include large fillet board, live bait tank options, underfloor kill tank, walk-through transom with door, boarding platform and ladder, plus numerous alloy rod holders and a radar arch. Comfort options range from upholstered bunks and lined cabin to lock-up hardtop doors, fresh water system, toilet and galley-style additions, allowing the boat to be tailored from a day fisher to an overnighter.
Construction: 5 mm aluminium hull, 4 mm deck, 3-piece extruded pontoons at 4 mm, 3 mm topsides
Performance & Handling: 22° deadrise deep-vee hull, hydraulic steering and Hush Tec noise-reduction technology for a softer, quieter ride
Capacity: HT rated for 9 people, HTE for 10 people, with large, secure cockpit and high gunnels (800 mm floor to gunnel)
Fishability: underfloor kill tank, large fillet board, optional live bait tank and deck wash, multiple rod holders and transducer mount
Comfort & Protection: enclosed or open hardtop variants, step-down cabin with upholstered bunks and lining, quality bolster helm seats and seating options
Rigging & Systems: integrated outboard pod, underfloor fuel tank up to 298 L (260 L max with optional second tank on enclosed hardtops), electrical panel, lighting and bilge system fitted as standard
