Description
The Stessl Sportsman Runabout is a versatile pressed aluminium runabout designed as a true all-rounder for fishing, family cruising and water sports. With a familiar helm position tucked behind a protective windscreen and a stable reverse chine hull, it delivers an easy, confidence-inspiring ride whether chasing whiting on winter mornings or enjoying relaxed days on the water with family and friends.
Generous storage and open deck space make it simple to stow tackle boxes, skis, kneeboards and tow tubes, while the layout is easily tailored as either a comfortable fishing platform or a family day boat. The Sportsman Runabout features Stessl’s robust Delta hull construction with fully welded extruded side decks, underfloor foam flotation and practical features throughout, and is available in multiple hull sizes from 4.25 metres through to 5.25 metres to suit different towing vehicles, waterways and crew sizes.

- Aluminium dashboard with glovebox and stylish moulded dash
- SeaStar Xtreme steering with Gussi sports steering wheel
- Tinted wrap-around windscreen with opening door and grab rail
- Pedestal-mounted Stessl folding seats (x2) plus rear thwart or rear box lounge with padded backrest (model dependent)
- Fully welded extruded side decks and motor well
- Full height transom with rear steps and rails, rear duckboard and aluminium folding ladder (on larger models)
- Fully carpeted chine-to-chine floor with underfloor foam flotation
- Low bow rails with bow roller and side rails
- Aluminium anchor well and underfloor storage locker
- RAILBLAZA TracLoader coaming and Railblaza Captains Pack
- Wiring harness and battery switch, 12v bilge pump, battery box and bilge pump bracket
- Side pockets x2 with sounder mount, battery and fuel tank rack, transducer bracket and transom strut
- Painted white inside and out with custom decals and Australian Builders Plate
- 50 litre or 80 litre underfloor fuel tank on selected models
Factory options commonly fitted include:
- Side clears and front clears for additional weather protection
- Bimini for shade and comfort
- Two-tone paint finishes
- Transom door and transom-mount bait tank on selected sizes
The Sportsman Runabout range covers multiple hull sizes, so owners can choose the configuration that best matches their preferred balance of deck space, horsepower and crew capacity, from compact 4.25 metre packages through to larger 5.25 metre family and inshore/offshore capable runabouts.
