Overview

About this vessel

A rare blend of timeless elegance and cutting-edge technology. Following a comprehensive 2019 refit, Bavaria now boasts a fully upgraded engine room, modern navigation and entertainment systems, and impeccable craftsmanship, making her ready for new adventures.

Bavaria is a steel-hulled sailing yacht built in 1966 by the renowned German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, known for their exceptional craftsmanship and engineering. This yacht is a stunning example of classic design, combining timeless elegance with outstanding ocean-going capabilities. Following a meticulous refit in 2019, Bavaria now features modern, professional systems, making her an excellent choice for anyone seeking a stylish classic yacht with the reliability and performance of contemporary technology.

Deckhouse

What makes this yacht special is her deckhouse that features a separate wheelhouse and a fully enclosed middle cockpit, providing excellent protection from severe weather while maintaining a functional and spacious layout. The deck construction consists of a teak deck over steel, combining durability with classic elegance. Designed for both safety and practicality, the deck layout ensures ease of handling while maintaining a sleek and timeless aesthetic.

Interior

Bavaria embodies an early interpretation of the now-popular Deck-Saloon Yacht concept, offering a versatile and seaworthy deck and interior layout.

The wheelhouse offers a fully protected helm station with excellent visibility and a commanding 360-degree overview. The saloon is located forward of the wheelhouse, separated by a door and hatch for added privacy. The spacious U-shaped lounge and dining area comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, making it a perfect space for relaxation and entertaining. The full-beam master cabin with an ensuite head is situated aft of the saloon for comfort and privacy. The full-beam guest cabin is positioned aft of the master cabin, features two single beds and an ensuite head, with separate access via a companionway on the aft deck. The forward port-side guest cabin features a double bed with a convertible system, allowing it to be separated into two single berths. The big U-layout galley is located forward of the saloon for a functional and open layout. The crew area is situated in front of the galley, accessible via a separate companionway on the foredeck and is equipped with two single berths and an ensuite head.

Walk-in engine room with easy access from wheelhouse. The interior finish retains the original A&R carpentry, crafted from fine teak, either varnished or painted, maintaining its timeless elegance. All cabins are equipped with highly efficient hot water radiators, ensuring warmth and comfort in all conditions.
