About this vessel
'Pee Gee' presents very well for a boat of this era, and right from the start you will see the quality in her build. It is believed she was professionally built, but the builder is unknown.
She is a strip-plank Western Red Cedar 3/4" x 1 1/4" plank yacht in tongue and groove construction, edge nailed and glued with Resonald glue, and fibreglassed completely on the outside, with the deck and cabin in 1/2" marine ply glassed over. She carries approximately 1,800 kg of lead in the keel with 7/8" stainless steel 316 keel bolts.
A Volvo Penta Sail Drive 20hp was supplied and installed in 2022, and she has been set up for passage sailing with a wind vane still predominant on the transom.
She has a comfortable, good-sized cockpit, and the internal layout provides plenty of room where needed, with full head height in the galley and nav station.
