About this vessel
The Pearson 385 is a renowned cruising yacht, offering a centre cockpit and excellent space below for her size. These yachts are medium displacement, semi-long keel with skeg, giving a comfortable ride in all conditions. BESTLA has proven herself as a world girdler and comes to the market absolutely stacked with gear and upgraded. She has good capacity fuel and water tanks and most of a cruiser's wish list for equipment. In boom furling main is very easy to operate. A good sail inventory plus a telescopic bowsprit and spinnaker pole on mast.
The yacht's light and airy interior boasts a well-designed sea going galley, two double cabins and one bathroom/head/separate shower cubicle. The second head has been allocated as a storage/workshop; this yacht is stacked with equipment and spares. If required the workshop can be returned to the original head. The main saloon no longer has a central table but has portable tables when not under sail, making the saloon yet more spacious.
The galley features a good design with an opening port above the stove. Refrigeration includes one top loading fridge plus a large portable fridge/freezer which has provided plenty of cold storage for this family of four on passage. Pressurised hot and cold water is available, plus foot pumped salt water. A separate shower is located in the aft ensuite complete with hot and cold water.
Her owner is a Lloyds certified surveyor and he has enjoyed bringing his yacht up to scratch, attending to any number of minor bug bears from stem to stern plus a pretty significant investment in the navigation and electronics. BESTLA is certainly a turn key prospect for buyers looking for a well founded offshore cruising yacht.
