About this vessel
The Nauticat 43 is a world renowned, Sparkman & Stevens designed, world cruiser built by Siltala Yachts in Finland. Nauticats are always built with quality in mind, and were laid up by hand using only the highest quality materials. This particular vessel Bountibou is one of two sloop rigged Nauticats in the world, and is in fantastic shape.
The current owners purchased her in the great lakes, where she spent the majority of her life, about 25 years in fresh water. They proceeded to refit her in preparation for extensive cruising. In the 5 years they owned her they put 15,000 miles under her keel until they ultimately stepped off in Hawaii.
The level of maintenance, organization, and documentation on this vessel is nearly unheard of. She very well may be the most well equipped Nauticat 43 in the world.
Armed with ample solar, wind, and diesel power generation, she is perfect for life off the grid. While Nauticats are most well known for their comfort in cold climates, Bountibou is armed with interior AC that runs perfectly off of the generator, so you can be comfortable no matter where you go.

The spacious cockpit is covered by a custom fiberglass hard top and the helm station features a large and comfortable chair as well as a large chart plotter display. Both mainsail and jib are furling for ease of use, and are in amazing shape. Forward of the mast, an aluminum bottom RIB is strapped to the large foredeck, but it is typically stored on its davits.
Inside
You will find a spacious pilot house with full 360 degree vision from the helm station. Along the port side, there is a large table with wrap around seating. Venturing aft, there is an extremely spacious stateroom with a queen size bed and navigation station. Adjacent to the stateroom is the master head with a full walk-in shower.
You will find the full galley forward of the pilot house, with a 3 burner stove, a top loading fridge, and dual sink. Along the starboard wall is a much larger fridge/freezer and a combo washer/dryer. The forward head and V berth are currently configured as storage for the array of toys and extras that come with the boat, all of which can be found in a detailed spreadsheet outlining their locations.
Bountibou is available with her large Makani Kai marina slip in Kaneohe Bay.
