Overview
About this vessel
XIDABY is a sailing yacht built in aluminium by Viudes (North Wind SL) and delivered in 1993. Designed by Marcelo Penna as a custom one-off, she combines clean lines, strong proportions and a restrained, timeless presence, typical of a large cruising sailing yacht conceived for solid, comfortable and characterful sailing.
On board, XIDABY offers a highly balanced layout both outside and inside. The aft cockpit, well integrated into the deck, brings exterior living together beautifully, with a configuration well suited to both sailing and anchoring, while the uncluttered deck layout, generous side decks and bimini awnings reinforce the sense of space and comfort on deck. Inside, designed by Josep Juanpere Miret, she features a bright saloon and dining area, an independent chart table, a separate galley, an owner's cabin and two twin guest cabins en suite, together with an independent crew area.
One of XIDABY's greatest strengths is the significant upgrade programme carried out between 2016 and 2024. During this period, the Steyr engines installed in 2017, the Kohler generators from 2012 and 2023, and several key interior and deck areas were all addressed. Highlights include the full teak deck refit in 2023, the rebuilding of the portlights, the installation of new flush Solimar hatches, and a number of further improvements aimed at enhancing both onboard comfort and the yacht's overall presentation.
Spanish-flagged and located in Barcelona, XIDABY is presented today as a highly complete large cruising sailing yacht, with a seriously updated technical base, a well-resolved interior and a strong level of equipment. She is an especially attractive option for anyone looking for an aluminium sailing yacht with real identity, a meaningful refit history and a clear vocation for use.
