'Manta V' was designed and built by Geoff Oakes, constructed from Cor ten Steel in 1985 and launched in 1995. She appears to be an incredibly well-built 60ft steel yacht with 6'6" headroom, perfect for long-range blue water cruising, and is offered with a project element that leaves us open to offers.
The overall condition of the hull and rigging looks solid, and the deck has been recently painted so it is looking fresh and clean. Internally the fit-out is in place, but most surfaces need some form of finishing off to capitalise on her true beauty and functionality.
She is powered by a 72hp Lister Diesel with a 690Ltr fuel tank. She has 5 cabins: V-berth with 2 x bunks, a double mid-ship cabin to starboard, a bunk room to port, and a very generous aft cabin. The galley and saloon are split level with the second helm in the saloon.
The owner has taken on the project, but due to health concerns we are selling, giving the purchaser the opportunity to put their own mark on the finish.
