About this vessel
The Baltic 87' Shaya, originally known as "Anny", was truly "ahead of her time" when she was launched in 1996. She was built to be a high-performance yacht and was quickly known for her impressive speed, including a win at the Superyacht Cup and the ability to cruise comfortably at over 14 knots. Her modern lifting keel system was a big step into the future, as was the "James Bond" style dinghy garage where a custom folding deck/transom arrangement enables a water jet dinghy to be driven right up into the back of the boat. That was another example of Baltic's innovative thinking and engineering.
She has been well maintained by her current owner, with all services regularly performed and keeping Shaya up-to-date. The yacht has undergone several upgrades, including a complete rewiring of her electrical systems, new B&G navigation systems, full maintenance of twin 167hp MTU diesel engines, the installation of a new watermaker, the addition of a Starlink standard package, an upgraded bilge pump system, and a detailed rigging check that involved unstepping the mast in December 2023.
Shaya is ideal for long voyages, offering a blend of comfort and functionality. This boat is perfect for sailing around the world in complete safety. She is available for immediate use, allowing you to set sail on your next adventure.
Exterior
The use of lightweight composite materials, such as carbon mast, boom and a hardtop, enhances its performance and durability. Shaya was fitted with every conceivable appliance for the ultimate luxury cruising. Her special 'James Bond' features make her even more interesting: hydraulic hardtop, lifting keel and the 'drive in' dinghy garage, where an ingenious folding deck/transom arrangement enables a water jet dinghy to be driven right up into the back of the boat.
Shaya features generous deck space, a protected cockpit with seating, and a carbon hardtop that extends for shade or dining. Spacious sunbeds provides a perfect spot for relaxation at anchor.
Interior
As you step below deck, you are brought into the deck saloon that is combined with her navigation station. There is another seating area with a good amount of space and a table. There are also several storage spaces and cabinets.
Her navigation station starts on the port side equipped with a chart table, screen and electric switch board. As you walk through, you can walk down to the lower deck which brings you to her galley.
She has two aft cabins which are twin berths but can be made into a double. Forward you will find the other three twin cabins as well as the crew cabin. All cabins come with ensuite bathrooms and emergency exits.
