The Dufour Gib Sea 43 was awarded Cruising Yacht Of the Year shortly after its launch. Built by the quality Dufour yard, these cruising boats suit everyone: from a first family cruiser or perhaps a social racer at the club, right through to those wanting to fulfil even the most ambitious bluewater sailing aspirations.
Crescendo is an excellent example of this sort after design and presents in good condition throughout. It has been well maintained by the current owners and ready for its next adventure. This vessel has not only been cruising Victorian waters, but has also been a successful competitor in both inshore and offshore racing in Hobart, including winning the challenging Launceston to Hobart race. The vessel has been freshly antifouled and serviced in Nov 2025.
Interior: The golden teak timber, white finishes, and extensive natural light creates a warm and welcoming ambience. A large u-shaped galley and complimentary large dinette seat up to 10 in comfort. The galley features a 3 burner gas stove with gimbaled oven, generous top loading fridge, stainless steel sink with pressurised H/C water, and excellent bench space. An additional upright Isotherm fridge and freezer is located in the bunk cabin. The spacious master cabin features a generous double v-berth, changing seat, and good storage, with a removable wall/door linking the bunk room, creating an extra large master suite. A full bathroom includes an electric toilet with holding tank and H/C shower with vanity. Aft are two spacious and light filled double cabins, with an adjacent guest bathroom in the saloon. The saloon has a well appointed electronics station complete with functional chart table.
Cockpit: The cockpit is well designed and set up for short handed sailing, or relaxing in your favourite anchorage. Twin helm wheels provide excellent visibility for the skipper, whilst allowing for easy walk through access from the companion way, dock or dinghy. The inlaid teak seating is in excellent condition and adds to the luxurious feel of the vessel. The mainsail boom bag, lazy jacks, furling headsail, and lines leading back to the cockpit facilitate shorthanded sailing, supported by Raymarine autopilot.
