About this vessel
Taranta is a Dix 43 with central cockpit and deck saloon, based on a design by Dudley Dix. Professionally built in England by Routeaway Marine shipyards, both the hull's strength and the interior finish are of top quality. With a hull in perfect condition, made of steel using the radius chine method, its lines are rounded, improving both aesthetics and performance at sea. The plywood deck reduces interior heat buildup and avoids corrosion-prone areas typically found around deck hardware installations.
Prepared and upgraded by her owners, Taranta comes fully equipped for top-tier cruising and liveaboard comfort, with all main navigation systems backed up for safe passagemaking in bluewater and remote regions. The interior layout accommodates 6 people in 3 separate cabins and up to 8 using the convertible dinette table. The deck saloon provides natural light and good all-around visibility. Without a doubt, she is a true bluewater vessel--capable of taking you anywhere in comfort, safety, and efficiency. With a recently serviced engine and fresh antifouling applied in April 2025, she is in excellent sailing condition. March 2026 full out of water survey available upon request.
