Overview
About this vessel
Lady 8 is fresh out of a thorough Winter 2026 refit which was professionally managed in Saxon Wharf, Southampton. Lady 8 offers outstanding interior volume and a spacious cruising friendly cockpit. Built of Aluminium, Lady 8 is a well proven long range cruising yacht which has excellent Briand design performance credentials.
In December 2022 the current owner of Lady 8 decided to give his yacht the 15 year refit which the yacht deserved. The 7 month refit of Winter 2022/23 was completed in June 2023 and the finished article is absolutely a credit to the yacht's diligent Captain and refit team. Credit must go to the owner for the open book 'no stone left unturned' approach to the refit. As a result the CNB95 Lady 8 almost presents and operates better than she did when first launched in 2008 by CNB, Bordeaux. All systems were evaluated and where necessary overhauled or replaced. The engine room was re-worked, fully re-painted, re-insulated and many systems also renewed.
Lady 8 has a wonderful raised deck saloon with virtually a 360 degree view across the decks and out to sea. This being a particularly nice feature as opposed to being in a more typical below decks saloon with no visibility of your surroundings. The saloon has a large U shaped sofa and seating around an excellent dining table to port. To starboard is an additional sofa and lounging area next to the large Television and bar area. Walking forward from the saloon you enter the guest area and the guest cabins.
The Master cabin is a very large forward double cabin with walkaround kingsize bed. It features wardrobes and storage aplenty, and a large adjoining bathroom with twin his & hers sinks, separate shower room and toilet. The Twin cabin on the starboard side aft of the Master cabin forward has 2 single beds with drawers under and wardrobe outboard, with ensuite bathroom and shower. The VIP cabin on the port side is a large cabin with walkaround double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. The Double cabin aft of the saloon but forward of the galley and crew quarters is spacious with double bed and ensuite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.
Aft of the saloon you can access the yacht's engine room and the dedicated and large Crew accommodation. The crew sleeps 4 in two crew cabins, consisting of 1 large double cabin and a twin bunk cabin opposite, with a shared bathroom and shower. There is a good size galley to starboard, a crew dining area seating 3-4 and the yacht's navigation station/desk a central part of the space. Access onto deck is via a crew companionway stairwell and hatch, therefore avoiding disturbing the guests. From the crew bunk cabin there is a watertight bulkhead door which leads aft into the spacious full beam Lazerette with access to laundry and copious storage.
The interior features light burr Maple cabinetry throughout the yacht, Dark Wenge composite flooring throughout, and Cream brushed suede head linings panels which were professionally cleaned in 2023. The Teak decks are new in 2019. The hull is Awlgrip HDT Flag Blue, new in 2023. The yacht is classed Bureau Veritas with 5yr surveys completed June 2023 and is commercially registered for charter under Malta flag.
