Overview
Description
The Horizon Getaway GRIDcore range delivers a versatile family cruiser platform built on Horizon Boats' in-house developed GRiDcore plate hull. Equally at home on a relaxing family day trip or a serious fishing mission, it combines a soft-riding, stable hull with practical deck layouts and generous protection from the elements.
Offered in sizes from 5.40 metres through to 7.70 metres overall length, the Getaway GRIDcore models feature cuddy and half-cabin configurations with ample bunk space for overnighting at secluded anchorages. The aluminium construction uses 4mm or 5mm high-tensile bottom sheets, 4mm side sheets and fully welded bulkheads and frame grid, delivering strength, rigidity and long-term durability.
Each model incorporates Horizon's FastBack transom design with full-height transom, twin boarding platforms and walk-through transom door, enhancing safety and ease of access from the water. Long-range underfloor aluminium fuel tanks, Australian Standards approved underfloor foam flotation and deep freeboard contribute to offshore capability and peace of mind for family boating.
The cabins are designed to maximise interior volume, with spacious bunks and large dash fascia areas to accommodate oversized electronics. A tinted wraparound windscreen, deluxe pedestal helm seats on slides and swivels, and folding rear lounge with backrest create a comfortable helm and cockpit environment for cruising or fishing.
Standard equipment across the range includes hydraulic or Seastar Extreme steering (depending on model), sports steering wheel, LED navigation and anchor lights, automatic bilge pump, carpeted floor, RAILBLAZA TracLoader extrusion and practical storage in large side pockets and transom hatches. High bow and transom rails, heavy-duty bow sprit with double rollers, multiple alloy cleats and transducer brackets further enhance usability.
For fishing and watersports, the Getaway GRIDcore comes equipped with aluminium rod holders, cup holders, and a heavy-duty dive ladder, while factory options such as self-draining checkerplate floors, underfloor kill tank, bait board and bait tank, targa bar, bimini, ski pole and double dash allow owners to tailor the boat to their preferred activities. Recommended outboard power spans from 90hp on the 532 up to 250hp on the 732, with maximum ratings to 300hp, ensuring strong performance across the range.
