Overview

About this vessel

A 1965 Sencer Sirius, an A Class Keeler built by Max Carter using wood epoxy construction. She was reportedly built for Alan Vause, a past commodore of the Yacht Squadron, and has been part of Penny Whiting's sailing school in the past. Avian is a competitive yacht that has proven fast and exciting to sail throughout her racing history.

The present owners have cared for her for some 20 years, maintaining her with new antifoul and ensuring she is ready to go sailing. Being of this vintage, she would be an excellent candidate for the Classic Yacht Association. The vessel features 6ft headroom with accommodation for 5 with comfort and all the basic needs. She is moored in the very sheltered Catalina Bay, Hobsonville, where mooring can be made available.
