About this vessel
Raymond Creekmore (May 5, 1905 - May 1984) was a prolific artist, writer and sailboat designer.
A Brief History
Purchased by the current owners in 1973 in Miami, Florida after about 5 years of sailing with Toronto YMCA and on Lake Ontario.
Well two and a half laps of our planet later sees their magnificent sailing yacht here in Townsville and ready for more adventures.
They sailed through the Panama Canal 3 times and around South Africa. Crossing the South Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean & the South & North Atlantic. They've taken her up the East coast of the USA to Lake Ontario in Canada.
Spending most of their time in the tropics, the yacht doesn't have a shower as most of their time has been in the tropics and at anchor.
Launched in 1968 she is a solid hand laid fibreglass yacht. As well as the ballasted keel she has a centreboard and a trim board. She has a forepeak with a vee berth for a large double berth. A long settee/berth and the dinning table can be dropped to convert into a double berth. She can sleep up to 5 people but very comfortable with 2 people.
The Aries wind vane has taken them across many oceans in all weather.
The owners have kept her in tip top shape and she is ready to go cruising again.
