Majestic is a proven blue-water cruising sailboat, hull #27 of a highly respected Ron Amy design heavily built in the renowned Formosa yard in Taiwan. A cutter-rigged, double-ended, heavy-displacement vessel with a cutaway full keel, she carries a relatively high freeboard for her length, giving her an incredibly safe and dry ride. She received a comprehensive refit between 2002 and 2005 prior to a successful, decade-long multi-continent cruise. More recently, she was repowered in 2015 with a new Yanmar diesel engine that currently shows just 792 hours. Numerous custom features make her ideal for ultra-comfortable, long-distance voyaging.
Outfitted with solar panels, Starlink, a Hydrovane self-steering system, a W-H autopilot, a full Furuno electronics suite, and an Icom IC-M710 HF radio, she provides absolute confidence underway, whether inshore or offshore.
Beyond her superb offshore capabilities, she is uniquely suited for Pacific Northwest cruising, equipped with a large dodger and a cockpit cover. Her pilothouse features expansive windows with custom bronze frames that prevent leaks and eliminate varnishing while offering a stunning aesthetic with their dark green patina. Inside, the pilothouse galley and dinette are always bathed in natural light, and a massive opening bronze port forward lets in abundance of fresh air when needed. On deck, the cockpit is complete with full cushions, and a large foredeck offers plenty of space for relaxing in deck chairs. For ground tackle, twin oversized anchors and twin all-chain rodes lead back to a dual-chainwheel Maxwell windlass, making anchoring simple and versatile. Innovative dinghy rails over the forward hatches allow an inflatable tender to be hoisted and stowed fully inflated without sacrificing the use or ventilation of the hatches below.
The interior accommodations offer excellent privacy, featuring two separate sleeping cabins at opposite ends of the vessel. Aft lies the owner's suite, complete with a queen berth and a private head. Forward is the guest cabin, which hosts a cozy double bunk in the bow, a large overhead hatch, two round ports, and a custom writing desk. The guest head is located just aft and features a dedicated stall shower. Moving amidships, you will find a single bunk and settee to port, opposite a navigation station to starboard that was custom-built for the current owner. Positioned deep near the center of the boat where motion is least noticeable, this proper navigation station features a wide, curved seat designed for maximum comfort on a heel, alongside a large chart table capable of fully spreading out traditional paper charts and all vital communication gear.
Overall, Majestic is a remarkably comfortable, capable, and robustly built boat, exceptionally well-equipped, and in excellent condition.
