About this vessel
This John Lidgard designed Lidgard 40 was built by Ed Nicholls in approximately 1984. The hull is double diagonal Kauri, glassed over with a timber deck.
The sails are well organised for easy use with a furling main, furling staysail, and furling genoa. The yacht features a headroom of approximately 6 feet with 1 double and 3 single berths; the saloon table drops down to make another double bed if needed.
The Lidgard family of boat designers are well renowned for their New Zealand vessels. This wooden sailing vessel represents a piece of maritime class. The vessel needs attention to bring up to her former glory. The current owner has indicated it is time to move on after owning and caring for this vessel for approximately 19 years.
