About this vessel
A Birchwood 440 Challenger first commissioned in January 2000. GRP hull with teak aft deck. The vessel has been well-maintained, with the hull lifted and anti-fouled in September 2018, a new synthetic deck installed in January 2019, and engines serviced in 2019.
Forward cabin features an island double berth with wardrobe, vanity unit, and storage cupboards. Owner en-suite with toilet and shower combined to port. Starboard double cabin with en-suite toilet and shower. Twin single berth cabin to starboard with wardrobe and storage cupboards. Fully appointed galley to port with electric hob, combined microwave oven, and fridge/freezer. Saloon with convertible seating to port and starboard, cocktail cabinet, wine and bottle unit, and storage cupboards. High gloss beach interior with upgraded leather upholstery.
Twin helm positions with dual station autopilot. Navigation equipment includes radar, GPS with DCPS interface to Simrad colour plotter at lower helm, black and white radar on flybridge, echo sounder, speed and distance log with sea temperature monitor, dual station VHF/RT with intercom, twin horns, compass, and rudder indicator. Electric controls and bow thruster.
Deck equipment includes anchor winch with 30 m chain, remote searchlight, bathing ladder, hot and cold transom shower, reversible 1000 w anchor windlass, fenders, frame windows, warps, boat hook, Simpson davits, Bimini top, flybridge canopy, aft deck enclosure, window covers, and rope cutter. Safety features include bilge pumps, automatic fire extinguishers in engine room, underfloor ventilation system, and life raft.
Shore power 220/240v with charging, 6 kVa generator, separate domestic and engine start batteries with battery charger. Hot and cold pressurised water system.
