FLICKER is one of those rare sailboats whose design characteristics closely match the conditions found on San Francisco Bay. It combines spirited performance with enough comfort to make it equally enjoyable for afternoon sails, club racing, or coastal cruising.
The J/32 is widely regarded as one of the best performing cruiser/racers ever built. She offers her owners and crew a unique combination of comfort, styling and performance usually only found in cruising yachts of considerably greater length and cost. She is easily handled by a couple but readily carries a much larger crew for cruising, racing or partying with sleeping accommodations for 5 Adults.
On deck, the cockpit is large and offers comfortable steering from all positions. Instruments are mounted under the dodger, in easy view of the skipper and crew. She offers plenty of room while underway, and the rear ladder makes it easy for swimmers. Come summertime one will seldom leave the cockpit, yet in winter or inclement weather the dodger offers ample protection.
The interior is spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The owner's cabin is forward, while full-length settees in the main cabin can sleep guests or seat 4–6 for dinner served from the large working galley.
The master cabin is in the forward section of the boat with a very large V-Berth. This cabin features additional teak batten hull sides, teak trimmed hanging locker and drawer storage, teak and holly cabin sole, (1) hatch, (2) opening ports, 12V lighting, bulkhead with teak privacy door.
Just aft is the main salon with (2) full length settees, teak dining table, (1) hatch, (4) opening ports, teak and holly cabin sole, 12V lighting.
Aft and to port is a Nav-Station with chart table w/storage, AC/DC distribution panel, digital battery monitor. To starboard is a full galley followed by a quarter berth.
