The hull uses single-skin glass/aramid hybrid fiber-reinforced vinylester laminate with carbon fiber reinforcements, while Nomex honeycomb-cored carbon fiber epoxy pre-preg structural bulkheads are laminated to the hull and deck. The carbon fiber pre-preg sandwich main deck has a Nomex honeycomb core, with high-density core beneath the deck fittings. UNDERLORD also has two watertight structural bulkheads, positioned between the forepeak and forward guest accommodations and between the lazarette and crew accommodations. Her steel keel fin carries an L-shaped lead bulb, with the keel-to-hull connection reinforced by an FRP modular box.
