Her impressive race record includes the 2-Handed RNI, Twice Around the 3 Kings, White Island Race, numerous Coastal Classics, Bay of Islands Race Week, and countless harbour events -- often winning or finishing at the front of the fleet.
Since arrival from Australia in 2019, Mr Kite has undergone continual upgrades and meticulous maintenance, presenting in turnkey race-ready condition.
Upgrades & Recent Maintenance
Standing and running rigging replaced during current ownership in excellent condition. New rudder and tiller, B&G underdeck autopilot, full instrument system upgrade with Windows tablet running Expedition and performance software. GSM Internet system with external aerial. Vesper AIS and Iridium Go with external aerials. Mast serviced. Antifoul completed. New U-Dek cockpit flooring. Extensive engine work including new mounts, water pump, alternator, gear shift and cables. Hydraulic rams and pump serviced. New keel batteries. Category 2 safety gear including 6-man Cat 1 life raft.
