Casablanca, a 2006 Lagoon 440 sailing catamaran, has something considerably more valuable than a long equipment list: six years of proven long-distance cruising experience with her current owners. During that time, she has been their family home while circumnavigating Australia and cruising extensively through Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
The Lagoon 440 has established an excellent reputation among long-distance cruising sailors for its combination of interior volume, offshore capability and manageable short-handed sailing. Casablanca builds on those strengths with substantial investment in the equipment that matters for serious cruising.

Proven Long-Distance Cruising Pedigree
Casablanca isn't simply equipped for bluewater cruising, she has been actively doing it. During six years of ownership, the current family has circumnavigated Australia, cruised extensively throughout Indonesia, sailed through Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, lived aboard full-time as a family, operated the yacht short-handed, and experienced a wide range of offshore conditions. Her owners are selling as their children return to school, creating an opportunity for another family or cruising couple to continue the journey.
Major Recent Rigging & Mechanical Work
Significant investment has been made in Casablanca's critical sailing and mechanical systems during 2024–2026. Recent works include new standing rigging (June 2024), new running rigging (June 2024), new mainsail (February 2026), engines fully serviced (December 2025), engine and saildrive seals and gaskets replaced (December 2025), heat exchangers cleaned and serviced (December 2025), exhaust elbows cleaned and serviced (December 2025), new engine mounts (December 2025), new port engine starter motor (December 2025), generator comprehensively serviced (February 2026), new generator starter motor plus spare, antifouling completed (December 2025), and engine and generator batteries replaced as required through 2025–2026.
Powered by twin Yanmar 3JH4E 39HP diesel engines with approximately 4,500 hours, Casablanca uses SD50 saildrives with Max-Prop feathering propellers.
Serious Off-Grid Cruising Capability
Casablanca has been configured around genuine long-term cruising rather than dependence on marinas. Her electrical and freshwater systems provide the autonomy required for extended periods at anchor and cruising through remote areas of Southeast Asia and beyond.

Casablanca is the popular four-cabin Lagoon 440, providing excellent separation between owner, family and guest accommodation. The exceptional interior volume and separation between the hulls, saloon and cockpit make the Lagoon 440 particularly well suited to extended family life aboard.

Included with Casablanca is a 2022 True Kit Discovery inflatable catamaran tender with a Tohatsu 20HP four-stroke outboard. Far more capable than a conventional yacht tender, this setup provides excellent stability, practical transport for provisioning, capability for exploring beaches and remote anchorages, and greater range for exploring away from the mothership. For a yacht designed around remote cruising, this is a particularly useful addition to the inventory.
