This Colvin-designed Pinky Schooner is the product of fifteen years of meticulous craftsmanship, completed in 2008. Built by a respected East Coast yard, SIREN features steel construction. Her classic gaff-rigged sail plan, raked masts, and low, double-ended hull with a sweeping sheer create a timeless profile -- an unmistakable standout in any harbor or on the open sea.
Professional rigging, engine installation and wiring was followed by a classic owner-completion using premium materials, fine workmanship and exquisite finishes. The current owner continued with the meticulous care this vessel has seen.
Hull laid 1993, launched 2008. Construction completed by John Bowen. Hull, decks, cabin sides, bowsprit, and rudder built by Custom Steel Boats, North Carolina, of 10 gauge steel. Cabin top is Honduras mahogany built of 4 layers of 1/4" marine plywood laid in West System epoxy. Hull paint Ameron 2-part epoxy. Cabin sole is 3/8" teak epoxy laminated to 1'2" plywood. Interior woodwork is Honduras mahogany. Hull lining is clear pine. Solid brass cabinet hardware.
Schooner rigged with Chesapeake Bay Rigging. Gaff-rigged with Fisherman topsails. Manual windlass Lunenberg Centennial. 2 anchors: 45 lb CQR, 35 lb Bruce. 100' of chain and 250' of rode.
Two compartment layout. Forward cabin dinette converts to double berth. Forward head with sink and shower. Aft cabin with 2 berths contains a marine head.
Engine system and electrical wiring professionally installed by North Harbor Diesel, Anacortes, WA. Only the raw water intake for engine cooling is below the waterline -- all remaining through-hulls are above the waterline.
