About this vessel
TIGER LILY TOO is the only Gunboat 90 ever built, a custom performance cruising catamaran designed by Morrelli & Melvin and constructed in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010. Her lightweight platform uses full-carbon composite construction, with vacuum-bagged epoxy hull and deck structures over a Nomex aramid honeycomb core, carbon fiber inner skins and Kevlar outer skins. With lifting rudders and daggerboards, she draws just 5.2 feet. She has never been raced and has instead been cruised, operated and maintained by an experienced crew.
From 2019 through 2021, TIGER LILY TOO completed a substantial $11 million refit at Newport Shipyard that substantially updated both her technical systems and onboard arrangement. All systems were replaced or upgraded, with work encompassing machinery, appliances, electronics, wiring and piping. The interior was also reconfigured, most notably through the removal of four structural posts in the salon and installation of a full-width carbon beam. The galley was moved from the salon into the starboard hull, creating a separate galley and crew area away from the principal guest spaces.
