The Beneteau Oceanis 34 remains one of the most appealing modern cruising boats in this size range because it successfully balances sailing performance, interior comfort, shallow draft, and ease of ownership.
Boat Pour is especially well suited to a cruising couple, small family, or sailor seeking a manageable platform for Gulf Coast cruising, the Florida Keys, the Intracoastal Waterway, or the Bahamas. Her shoal draft expands anchoring and cruising options, while her bridge clearance make her relevant for many coastal and ICW itineraries.
Her traditional fully battened mainsail, supported by a Tides Marine Strong Track, provides a straightforward and efficient sail-handling arrangement. The furling genoa, Harken self-tailing winches, traveler, rigid vang, rope clutches, wheel steering, and cockpit-led controls allow her to be sailed comfortably with limited crew.
Below, the Nauta-designed interior is warm, bright, and intelligently arranged. The two private cabins, convertible salon seating, full galley, enclosed head, navigation station, air conditioning, and generous water capacity make extended stays aboard practical and comfortable.
Several meaningful updates enhance her appeal, including the upgraded electrical panel, three Group 31 AGM batteries installed in October 2024, an 80-amp high-output alternator, Garmin multifunction display, AIS, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and LED lighting.
The August 2024 survey provides additional insight into the vessel's condition at that time. The surveyor characterized the interior as generally above average for the vessel's age and type. Accessible deck areas were percussion sounded and moisture-meter tested, with no soft spots, delamination, or excessive moisture reported. The hull sides were found to retain a high-gloss finish, with no signs of previous structural damage noted.
The Nauta Design interior makes excellent use of the boat's beam. Fixed windows, opening ports, overhead hatches, light-colored headliners, and warm cabinetry create an open and inviting atmosphere.
The main salon features a U-shaped settee to port and a longitudinal settee to starboard. The port dinette surrounds a centerline table attached at the compression post. The table has two folding leaves, allowing it to remain compact while underway and expand for meals or entertaining. The salon seating can provide two additional single berths.
The private forward cabin serves as the primary owner's stateroom and includes a V-berth, hanging lockers, and opening overhead hatch for natural light and ventilation.
The private aft guest cabin is entered to port, aft of the galley, and features a large full-width double berth with an athwartships sleeping arrangement.
The enclosed head is located aft to starboard and includes an electric marine toilet, molded sink and vanity, and separate shower area with handheld shower fixture and hot and cold pressure water.
Auxiliary propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 3YM30 naturally aspirated, three-cylinder marine diesel. During the August 2024 sea trial, the engine reportedly operated smoothly without obvious vibration, with good cooling-water discharge and responsive handling.
Mechanical wheel steering uses a stainless-steel wheel, chain-and-cable linkage, sheaves, and a radial drive at the rudderpost. The August 2024 survey found the accessible steering components sound, properly adjusted, and operating freely, with the helm described as responsive during sea trial.
Boat Pour is equipped with 12V DC and 110/115V AC electrical systems. A major selling point is the upgraded electrical distribution panel installed in 2026, which provides modern circuit switching and digital system monitoring.
Boat Pour's navigation and communication equipment is arranged between the helm and the interior navigation station. During the August 2024 sea trial, the Garmin display, VHF, helm microphone, Raymarine instruments, wind display, depth/speed equipment, and wheel-pilot autopilot were reported to power up and operate.
Boat Pour is fractional-sloop rigged with a conventional, fully battened mainsail and furling headsail. Unlike an in-mast furling arrangement, her classic mast and Tides Marine Strong Track provide a direct, performance-oriented mainsail system while reducing friction during raising and lowering. The August 2024 survey reported no visible cracking at the inspected swaged terminals.
Boat Pour has a white gelcoat hull and white molded deck with non-skid surfaces. Her shoal-draft configuration draws approximately 4' 6", making her especially well suited to the Gulf Coast, Florida Keys, ICW, Bahamas, and other shallow-water cruising areas.
Boarding from the stern leads into a spacious aft cockpit with seating arranged to accommodate family and guests. The cockpit features a large self-draining design, port and starboard seating, aft helm seat, and teak cockpit inlays and trim. Additional features include a folding cockpit table, blue bimini, leather-wrapped wheel, and integrated swim platform.
The companionway has been upgraded with opening doors in place of the standard removable factory drop boards.
Boat Pour was built by Beneteau America in Marion, South Carolina. The Oceanis 34 was designed by Finot-Conq, with Jean-Marie Finot credited as naval designer and Nauta Design responsible for the interior. The hull is a solid molded fiberglass construction with hand-laid fiberglass cloth, mat, and woven roving, gelcoat exterior finish, and a structural fiberglass liner/grid with marine-plywood bulkheads. The hull-to-deck joint is secured with fasteners and adhesive. The deck features balsa-cored construction with molded non-skid surfaces.
The August 2024 survey reported the accessible keel bolts to be heavy-gauge stainless steel and in good condition. The accessible hull structure, keel area, rudder, deck, superstructure, grid system, and engine beds were inspected without evidence of delamination or excessive moisture. During the August 2024 haul-out, the surveyor reported the bottom to be in good overall condition. The rudder was sounded with no blistering or delamination found. The bottom was painted in 2023 and reportedly cleaned approximately every six weeks.
