Keswick Explorer is a 14.9m aluminium catamaran multi-purpose vessel. It would suit ferry service, crew transfer, or small group whale watching tours, and makes a great private boat for a family to explore the Top End and Kimberley's.
The vessel is powered by twin Volvo 425 hp diesel main engines, achieving a cruise speed of 17–18 knots, full speed of 22 knots, and an economical cruise of 8–9 knots. It carries 5,200 litres of fuel capacity.
Accommodation comprises 2 double cabins and 2 single berth cabins. The galley is equipped with a microwave oven, 240v refrigeration, and a 240v stainless steel two-door freezer. Fresh water capacity is 1,400 litres, and the vessel is air conditioned.
Electronics include an Icom VHF, Garmin VHF, Simrad sounder, two Raymarine Axiom 9" plotters, Raymarine radar, and an AP4 autopilot. A new Seawasp 18kva genset provides power. Deck equipment includes a hydraulic anchor winch.
The vessel holds an AMSA Certificate of Operation 2C (12 + 2 crew in Queensland only) and 1E (34 + 2 crew). Please note: this vessel does not have a certificate of survey to work in any state other than Queensland.
