About this vessel
Mackatac, formerly known as "Fearless", is an attractive Roger Simpson design launched in September 2020. She's well-constructed in fibreglass with a Western red cedar core.
The vessel features a sheltered helm station with hard dodger and fully enclosed cockpit. Carbon composite spars support a roller furling genoa, stay sail, slab-reefed mainsail and storm trysail, all in very good condition. The galley is located down on the port side with fridge, freezer and stove with electric oven. Two heads serve the vessel, one on each side with a shower on the port side.
Power comes from twin Yanmar diesel engines on saildrives. The vessel is equipped with Raymarine electronics including autopilot, GPS, TV, stereo and wind instruments. Comprehensive power systems include a wind generator, upgraded solar capacity, lithium batteries with battery management system, a Zen watermaker and Honda generator. Safety gear includes a liferaft, EPIRB and drogue. A hard dinghy is carried on davits.
Mackatac is well-equipped for offshore cruising.
