Life on deck
At anchor, the V44 transforms with the touch of a button as twin hydraulic balconies fold down to deliver a vast water-level terrace, perfect for swimming, sun lounging or cocktail hour. A fully teak-laid sole runs unbroken from swim platform to helm, while an electric sunroof and full-beam hardtop keep the Australian sun or sudden shower at bay. The aft sun-pad, protected by the electric aft sun shade, morphs from chaise longue to dinette in seconds, and a 40-inch TV descends from the roof for movie nights afloat.
Performance and handling
Triple Verado V10s push the hull to 48 knots, yet joystick control, integrated Skyhook station-keeping, and a bow thruster make close quarters manoeuvring almost effortless. Schaefer's weight-optimised lamination and deep-V geometry deliver a composed ride.
Interior comfort
Below, the V44 offers genuine weekender capability. A forward convertible dinette becomes a queen berth. Mid-cabin twin berths are convertible to a large single King bed. Fresh, timber-accented décor is flooded with natural light. The galley features a twin-burner cooktop, fridge and microwave. A separate shower stall in the head is rare in this size class.
The boat sleeps 4 in air-conditioned comfort with a separate head and full shower.
Systems and options fitted
An Onan generator runs air-con, galley and BBQ. Reverse air-conditioning serves the cabin and helm. Twin 16-inch Simrad MFDs display navigation. Premium JL Audio stereo includes a cockpit sub-woofer. An electric anchor windlass with stainless anchor and chain is fitted. Freshwater deck wash and transom swim shower are provided. An underwater LED lighting package completes the system.
