About this vessel
The Vicem 67 Cruiser is the latest in a long line of ground-breaking yachts. Over a decade ago, Vicem became the first of the classic downeast builders to add elegant motoryachts to their portfolio of fine yachts. The earlier Cruiser Series offerings—the 82, 97, and 107—have garnered impressive reviews in the yachting press and turn heads in every harbor they visit.
This three cabin masterpiece, along with a spacious crew cabin for two, allows a discerning family to travel far, fast, and with consummate elegance. At eighteen knot cruise speed, her range is an impressive 1,550 miles. But for long, comfortable hauls, she cruises in stately style at ten knots for almost 4,000 nautical miles.
The 67 Cruiser shares the tried and true construction methods of her larger siblings. For over twenty years Vicem has been known for their uncompromising skill in building with cold molded mahogany. Four layers of solid mahogany planking—each wholly saturated in West Systems Epoxy—are laid at right angles to each other. When cured, this strong, solid and sound absorbing matrix of laminated wood is sheathed in a covering of E-glass biaxial fabric. High load areas are reinforced with carbon fiber for maximum strength and protection. The result is a rock-solid, stunning yacht with a ride widely recognized as superior to that of traditional fiberglass construction methods, with identical maintenance schedules.
The layout of this fine yacht builds upon the space planning lessons carefully learned from her larger sisters. Notably, she offers two spacious master cabins: the first is a midship master stretching across the yacht's full beam, while the forward master cabin offers owners more privacy, with greater separations from guests. Each of these cabins features king-size beds. A starboard ensuite guest cabin comes with double beds standard. Aft, a cabin for two crew, with fine woodwork to match the rest of the yacht's accommodations, includes an eat-in galley, laundry facilities, and a head with separate shower.
The design team, with over twenty-five years' experience in launching fine yachts, have devoted themselves to designing a yacht offering the highest levels of safety and security for challenging conditions and long distances. Her wide decks and high bulwarks provide a safe, secure operating environment for managing these challenges.
As for entertaining space, the 67 Cruiser creates five distinct zones for guests to luxuriously treasure their time on the water. The hard-topped flybridge includes a spacious day bed, while the foredeck includes both a large sun bed and a forward-facing settee. The cockpit offers seating for eight around a large, highly varnished mahogany table, in complete shade. These same eight guests can enjoy interior cocktails in the salon's matching settees, or they can be treated to formal interior dining just aft of the helm area.
