This sailboat is built using vacuum resin infusion moulding, with monolithic fiberglass hull bottom and PVC closed cell foam sandwich upperworks and deck. First layers are in vinylester resin, plus isophthalic polyester resin. The frame structure uses polyethylene omega-foam and plywood, laminated to the hull, along with all joinery structure including bulkheads, furniture units, and lockers, guaranteeing high rigidity and optimised load spread. Compression forces from the mast and rigging are compensated by a support pillar for the mast and bolted chain plate tie-rods for the rigging.
The deck and bulkheads are glued and laminated together and to the hull, with 4 safety bulkheads featuring isolation valves. Gangways, cockpit, foredeck and aft deck have a teak deck finish moulded into the deck. The cockpit is self-bailing. Cast iron ballast is fixed to the hull and keel by stainless steel bolts, sealed by epoxy treatment. Two monolithic laminate rudders are filled with foam, with reinforced laminate edges and stainless steel reinforced rudder stocks. The hull features Coppercoat antifouling.
The large, deep, comfortable and reassuring cockpit features a hardtop strongly built from composite material, designed for extremely safe sailing and well-protected life on board in all weathers. Forward and side windscreens are made of glass, with the central part opening as do two hatches in the roof. The unit offers an exceptional panoramic view and perfect ventilation, with a rigid opening sunroof. The helmsman's station and steering wheel are on the port side, with a console in front of the wheel for electronics and all electric controls. The companionway door features an easy-opening system.
The rigging includes a carbon mast with electric in-mast furling system, aluminum boom, and hydraulic clew sheeting system finished in 2-component polyurethane paint. There are 3 sets of spreaders, an adjustable rigid down-haul on the boom, LED deck lights on the mast and boom end, LED mooring and masthead lights, Dyform stainless steel standing rigging, and Vectran and Dyneema halyards. An electric genoa furling gear is installed, along with 2 additional halyards in the mast and a boom extension for handling heavy parts.
The spacious engine room is isolated in case of flooding and gathers all technical devices with high density insulating foam providing very efficient sound insulation. A Volvo 4-cylinder, low-speed diesel engine produces 175 HP and features a hydraulic gearbox with electric throttle. The shaft line transmission includes a strut and Aquadrive antivibration system, with a propeller shaft break, folding propeller, and shaft seal. A retractable Evision proportional bow thruster is installed.
The bright and spacious saloon provides an excellent view of the outside with 4 opening hatches, 6 fixed roof portlights, and 4 large hull portlights. It features a saloon table for 8 guests with a very comfortable L-shaped seat, a second seat along the central bar cabinet, and a lounge area with an L-shaped sofa and central wine/spirit cabinet. A TV screen and Fusion Apollo 2-zone stereo sound system are installed.
The navigation station features a chart table with storage and electronics board, easy access to 24 V power sources and 230 V sockets, and a very comfortable swiveling, mobile navigator's seat with an excellent view outside.
The functional, bright, and ventilated galley is situated to starboard alongside the hull, with a large working surface in moulded Corian, double sink in stainless steel with mixer tap and soap dispenser, a gimballed Miele 4-zone induction hob with pan holders, gimballed Miele microwave oven, Miele electric oven, 180-litre cold column with 2 fridge drawers, 80-litre freezer with top access, and a Miele dishwasher for 12 sets. An LG combined washer-dryer is also installed. Easy access to 230 V power supply and generator start is provided, with a backlit 230 V board.
Forward, there are two cabins with double beds, one on the port side and one on the starboard side, each with an isolating door featuring a flood retardant system. Each cabin has a large double bed with 2 drawers and great storage space under the bed (with bed lift on gas springs), numerous storage places in cabinets and hanging lockers, brightness and ventilation via hull portlights and opening deck hatches, LED ceiling lights and reading lamps, and 230 V and USB-C sockets.
A bathroom serves each forward cabin, with an isolating door featuring a flood retardant system, an opening deck hatch for brightness and ventilation, LED ceiling lights, a storage unit with deep washbasin and mixing tap, a separate electric vacuum marine toilet (fresh water) with black water tank, and a separate shower with swing door in PMMA glass, removable Doussie floorboard, mixing tap, and storage.
The large aft owner's cabin has access through an isolating door with flood retardant system. It features a large central double bed with 2 bedside units, very large storage space under the bed (with bed lift on gas springs), a window in the hull bottom for propeller inspection, many cabinets and hanging lockers, a port-side vanity with mirror and comfortable seat, 2 hull portlights with blinds, 1 large portlight on the aft part of the roof with electric blind, 2 integrated opening portholes, and 3 opening hatches with blinds and mosquito nets. Lighting includes wall lamps and reading lights on the bedhead, LED ceiling lights, and 230 V and USB-C sockets. A telephone induction charger is installed.
