VALQUEST is a 40m full aluminum Sailing Yacht built by Bloemsma Van Breemen in the Netherlands at their Makkum shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house Dubois and she was completed in 2009.

VALQUEST is a performance cruising yacht distinguished by her sleek aesthetics, featuring a silver metallic hull, a streamlined low-profile wheelhouse, and an uncluttered, flush deck. Engineered for extended bluewater passages, she boasts high-capacity fuel tanks and generous stowage solutions to support long-range autonomy.

Below deck, VALQUEST offers a contemporary interior design characterized by high-gloss mahogany joinery paired with white leather upholstery. The semi-open, split-level saloon layout maximizes natural light and visual continuity, creating a spacious, inviting environment for both socializing and dining.

Accommodation is configured across four ensuite cabins: a full-beam master suite, two double staterooms, and one twin cabin—each appointed with premium fixtures and finishes to ensure guest comfort and privacy.

On deck, the yacht is optimized for outdoor living. The aft cockpit is sheltered for al fresco dining, while expansive lounging areas amidships and forward provide options for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade under the retractable forward canopy.

Large Refit Undertaken in 2024/2025

A comprehensive refit included 12 year mast pull and inspection, NDT testing of mast, boom, and spreaders with replacement of standing rigging as per recommendations, and alterations to spreaders for new radars and starlink. All spreader connectors to mast were replaced. The lower end of foils for the blade and genoa were replaced, and backstay rams were replaced as they were condemned at service. Furlers were fully serviced as per recommendations, and the main sail mandrill was fully serviced. Full paint was applied to mast, boom, spreaders, coach-house, cockpit area, top sides, and boot stripe. The lazarette hatch was removed and repainted, with three full coats and two belly bands applied as recommended for 24 months treatment. Dismantling and repainting of lazarette, floorboards, and bilges was completed. All blocks, rollers, cars, and tracks were removed and serviced. Both windlasses received full service. Hydraulic hoses around the main mast base were replaced. All deck fittings and hatches were removed and serviced, with replacement of all hatch rams. Deck lockers and storage areas were painted. All winches were serviced. Instrument panels were cut for new B&G System. The tender was fully serviced with new nav system, stereo, and VHF with AIS installed. Engine room bilges and forward bilges were repainted.
