The Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 "Quintet" (introduced in 2014 and produced through 2020) was a pioneer in the "multiple living zones" movement. While the newer FP 55 has replaced it in the current lineup, the 2019 Saba 50 remains one of the most sought-after catamarans on the secondary and charter markets due to its balance of performance and massive social volume.
The 6 Cabin 6 Head layout is specifically engineered for high-capacity luxury, making it a "floatel" capable of hosting 12 guests without compromising on individual privacy. The 2019 interior is characterized by the "Alpi" woodwork and a "flush" floor design with no steps between the cockpit and the saloon. The port hull contains three double cabins with private heads. The starboard hull mirrors this with two double cabins and a mid-ship crew/guest cabin, all with private ensuites. The Island Galley offers a standout feature in this model year: the galley with a central island, providing massive storage and counter space rarely seen in catamarans under 60 feet.
The Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 is designed to optimize the pleasures of the sea, both under sail and at anchor. With an exterior profile that reflects the elegant philosophies of her designers, Berret-Racoupeau, the Saba 50 offers multiple relaxation areas including a magnificent Lounge Deck and a specialized forward cockpit. Light, spacious, and high-performing, she is the quintessential lifestyle catamaran.
The Triple-Zone Social Concept provides three distinct outdoor areas for guests to congregate, ensuring the boat never feels crowded even with 12 people aboard. The "Lounge Deck" has a massive 12.4 metre sunbathing and seating area atop the coach-roof. It is positioned adjacent to the helm but remains a dedicated relaxation space with 360-degree views. The "Forward Cockpit" offers a recessed, integrated lounge on the foredeck with adjustable cushions—perfect for sunset cocktails or a quiet morning coffee. The "Aft Cockpit" offers a seamless extension of the saloon, featuring a large dining table with a 1m extension in the Quintet version, a cockpit fridge, and direct access to the water via wide sugar-scoop transoms.
