About this vessel
Hindsight (ex Polar Bear) is the joint creation of naval architect Philippe Briand and interior designer Andrew Winch, built as Winch's own personal yacht. The partnership pairs Briand's modern hull — which incorporates a hard chine for increased speed, stability, and interior volume — with Winch's superyacht-level interior styling, elegant lines, and timeless proportions.
The design combines beautiful hull lines with a powerful sailing rig, a comfortable cockpit, and a gorgeous interior. Hindsight carries all the gear needed for serious off-the-grid sailing and world cruising, and with twin helms, push-button sail controls, and electric furling throughout, she is easy to handle short-handed or as a couple.
Hindsight's interior features four staterooms plus forward crew's quarters, and a state-of-the-art galley conveniently located to port just aft of the main salon. The master aft cabin is huge, with a private office nook and direct deck access. Full teak decks run throughout, including the cockpit. She is powered by a Volvo D4 diesel, backed by an Onan generator that runs every system aboard.
