S/V APRIL WIND is a 2008 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54 Deck Salon. The Sun Odyssey 54 Deck Salon is a very popular design hitting on the perfect balance of extremely livable interior space, large and secure cockpit, and excellent sailing ability.
S/V APRIL WIND has had continual updates and refit work professionally performed. Every system has been gone through and upgraded where necessary, added redundancy where prudent, or replaced as needed.
In 2016, the mast was removed from the boat with all rigging inspected and replaced as needed, and all new internal wiring for instrument and electrical was installed. The keel was removed and all keel bolts were replaced and the keel was re-installed to factory specifications due to corrosion on keel bolts noted at purchase survey (a factory issue, not due to collision or grounding). This work was performed by Riviera Beach Yacht Center in Palm Beach, Florida. The hull was custom painted with Awlgrip while the keel and mast were removed.
