This Swan 48-216 is a Germán Frers-designed cruising sailboat built to comprehensive specifications.
The hull is finished in light colour gelcoat (Atlas Natural Grey CAS4180) with standard white stripes, protected by JOTUN bottom paint with epoxy primer and antifouling. Hull windows are installed in the owner's cabin and aft cabins with manually operated blinds. A Carbonautica folding gangway with 370 mm width and antislip surface is included, along with a dinghy garage.
Deck features teak woodwork on coamings, electrical Harken winches, a self-tacking jib system, and folding stainless steel cleats. Lifeline gates are fitted on each side amidships. Canvas work includes a bimini over the forward end of the cockpit, helmsman bimini, sun awning, cockpit cushions with backrests, wheel and pedestal covers, and outside protection canvas—all in Sunbrella material.
The interior is finished in Swan Soul mood with oak bulkheads, furniture, and floorboards in satin varnish. Saloon sofas are in Caleido Sky Blue with white piping. The aft cabin features twin beds with a fill-in part to convert to double, plus an additional door to the aft toilet. The saloon includes an electrically operated adjustable-height table with matching cushions. The navigation area has a manually adjustable desk with matching seat and backrest cushions.
The engineroom features a Volvo D2-75 Saildrive engine. A bow thruster (Side-Power SRV100-24IP) is installed with joystick control on the starboard pedestal. A diesel generator (M-GV8 PICCOLO K, 8kVA continuous) provides backup power.
Climate control includes a Webasto Blue Cool S-Series air conditioning system (16,000 BTU/h for the saloon) and two Webasto diesel heaters (AirTop EVO 40, 4kW and AirTop 2000 STC, 2kW) with hot air distribution throughout the vessel. Fresh water is supplied by a Schenker Smart 100 Digital watermaker (100 L/h). Black water toilets are Jabsco Quiet Flush electric units with fresh water flush in both forward and aft heads.
The electrical system includes a Lithium-Ion Victron Smart LiFeP04 battery upgrade (25.6V 400Ah) with a Victron BMV 712 Smart battery monitor. A 70A battery charger and shore power (230V 32A 50Hz) are installed.
Electronics include a comprehensive B&G Triton base package with dual 4.1" cockpit displays, wind sensor, speed/depth/temperature sensor, compass, GPS antenna, AIS transponder, VHF radio with wireless handset, and VHF antenna. B&G Triton/H5000 20/20 HV displays are mounted on the mast bracket. Navigation features a B&G HAL024 compact 24-inch radar antenna integrated with B&G Zeus2, plus two B&G Zeus3 12-inch multifunction displays on the cockpit pedestals. A B&G autopilot is integrated with the Triton system. Entertainment includes a Fusion MS-RA770 marine stereo with B&W ceiling speakers in the saloon and Fusion cockpit speakers.
The rig includes one-design sails: fullbatten furling mainsail, furling non-overlapped jib with vertical battens, staysail, and furling Code 065 and other asymmetric spinnakers (FX+4500, A1.5) with a SpiEx snuffer. The mast has upgraded hydraulic system for backstay and boom kick with two-function hydraulic pump on the port side. The boom is a manual furler GRP T20. Running rigging includes 2:1 main halyard and staysail rope pack.
Anchoring includes 80 m of galvanized chain.
