Simple, fun and zippy! The RS CAT12 brings buoyancy and easy handling back to the beach, bursting onto the scene as the peppy youngster of the RS CAT16 and RS CAT14. This little pocket rocket maintains many of its older siblings dynamic features, while stripping back to the basics so beginners can start their sailing journey with confidence.
The simplified design features a furling jib, reefing mainsail and masthead float, keeping safety at the forefront while learning to sail. Front grab handles and kick-up rudders make launching and returning to shore as easy as possible and the whole boat can be lifted easily via the RS patented hull gully.
Strong and durable, the hull itself is very robust, made from PE1 rotomoulded construction. For extra versatility, the bows feature detachable and replaceable bow fenders - a unique innovation on the CAT range. As for comfort, the self-draining deck has concave seating on the hull as well as the trampoline and seating area allowing for up to 3 crew.
Optional extras include a single trapeze - a great way for novices to get comfortable on the wire and push performance at a fun and exciting pace. Ideal for beginners or young families wanting to adventure on the water, the RS CAT 12 completes the versatile RS CAT trilogy for all-performance catamarans.
