Delivered to her one and only private owner in 2019, TEE GEE is Hull No. 17 of the immensely popular Niels Jeppesen-designed X4.9 Mk1 performance blue water cruising yacht from X-Yachts in Denmark. Fitted out for serious bluewater sailing, TEE GEE features one of the highest specifications available, including a substantial Euro 455,000+ program of later updates and improvements to increase her performance, practicality and safety at sea.
TEE GEE is a rare combination of high-performance racer and luxury blue-water cruiser. The design won "Best Full-Size Cruiser" by Cruising World 2019. The yacht has been further specified and upgraded for short-handed, safe performance offshore sailing with highest specification available at time of acquisition, plus over Euro 260,000 in bespoke enhancements and redundancies not available from X-Yachts.
Hull and Deck: Vacuum epoxy infused E-glass fibres in a sandwich M-foam construction. Light Grey (RAL 7035) gelcoat with pure white triple waterline stripes. Teak laid side decks, coachroof, cockpit sole, cockpit seating and transom platform with black caulking.
Interior: Three-cabin, two-heads layout with owner's cabin forward finished in Nordic Oak with Walnut floors, Alcantara upholstery and white Corian counters. Main saloon upper cupboards, table box, backrest cushions and double pouf. Owner's cabin upper cupboards and sprung mattress. Port aft cabin split berth plus cargo-net storage. Starboard aft cabin additional pipecot sea berth. LED internal lighting package with ambient lighting.
Propulsion and Steering: Custom one-piece carbon fibre rudder and stock, 40% lighter, 25% slimmer, and 10% deeper than the original GRP blade, with designed breakaway point. Performance T-bulb keel with 2.40m standard draft. MaxPower retractable bowthruster. Gori folding propeller.
Sails and Rigging: Axxon carbon fibre mast and boom. Custom clear-coated carbon fibre bowsprit with Reckmann hydraulic A/code sail furler. OneSails filmless taffeta performance cruising mainsail (82m², 3-reef), genoa and staysail. OneSails furling Code Zero, Power Furling Reacher and A1 Gennaker. Storm jib and trysail. Split backstay with Harken hydraulic adjuster with manometer. Fixed staysail furler. Low-friction mainsail track on mast with Rutgerson battencar system. Harken trisail battencar track on mast. Carbon fibre spinnaker pole. Full running rigging in SK78 HPS PU core with Technora/Polyester cover. Hydraulic mast jack.
Cockpit and Deck Equipment: Harken Flatwinder 500kgs electric captive mainsheet traveller. Harken Performa 50.2 STP 2-speed electric self-tailing primary winches at helm positions. Carbonautica black composite helm wheels. Demountable cockpit table. Electric drop-down GRP with carbon fibre reinforcement bathing platform, equipped with duplex steel hinges and manual backup. Sprayhood with stainless steel frame stowing flush into self-draining recess in coachroof. Aft helm cockpit bimini with stainless steel frame. Cockpit lighting. Additional clutches for staysail sheets, 3rd reef, and downwind rigging.
Anchoring and Safety: 35kgs stainless steel Ultramarine UA35 anchor with 75m of 10mm stainless steel chain. Spare 21kgs Ultramarine UA21 stainless steel anchor with 50m of chain. Folding mooring cleats. AIS and radar proximity alarm system with 80dB audible alarm. Jordan Series Drogue with 132 cones, chain and bridle. All safety equipment replaced and upgraded including EPIRB3 Pro, radar reflector, pyrotechnics, food rations, lifelines and first aid.
Tender and Amenities: Highfield Ultralite 290 aluminium-bottom inflatable tender with Suzuki 2.5hp outboard. Electric pump for tender inflation/deflation in tender garage. Two 4-man Sea Safe liferafts (PLF4 Solas B). Rack for two diving bottles installed under main cabin bench.
Power and Electrical: Yanmar 4JH57 57hp engine with Saildrive gearbox. Fischer Panda 8000i 6kw 220vAC 50Hz diesel generator. Lithium (LiFePO4) service batteries (400Ah @ 12V total, upgraded from 195Ah). Victron Energy Multiplus combination battery charger and inverter with 80Amp charger output and 2,000w inverter. Additional fuel tank bringing total fuel capacity to 385 litres.
Navigation and Communication: Raymarine instrument package with twin Axiom Pro 9" GPS chartplotters, Quantum 2 Doppler radar in bespoke carbon fibre gimbal, Maxi T210 mast-mounted repeaters, AIS700 AIS transceiver, Ray90 VHF with Class-D DSC and p70 autopilot with EV-400 computer. Starlink Global Priority satellite and onboard global Wi-Fi.
Galley and Heads: Force 10 stainless steel gimballed gas stove with 3 burners and oven. Isotherm 85 litre fridge and Magnum 90 litre seawater cooled fridge/freezer. Jabsco salt water flush manual heads. Baby Nova 220vAC washing machine. Dessalator DUO 12vDC/220vAC reverse osmosis watermaker producing approx. 60 litres per hour, plus manual watermaker for redundancy.
Comfort Systems: 220vAC reverse-cycle air-conditioning system with 16,000 BTU output in saloon and 7,000 BTU output in owner's cabin. Eberspacher diesel-fired hot air cabin heating system. Shower installed in owner's cabin and aft heads. DH1200 Inox DryFan 12L S.S. Desiccant Dehumidifier.
Entertainment: Fusion Bluetooth stereo system with DAB antenna and integration to Raymarine chart plotter system.
