Jay Bee is a 1954 Halvorsen 25 Standard Cruiser with significant recent investment. A major overhaul in 2012 included a refurbished superstructure, new Yanmar 50hp engine, new fuel tank, water tank and batteries. The hull was repainted in 2022. Most recently, the vessel received 11 coats of varnish in 2024 and fresh antifoul.

The accommodation comprises two single beds in the forward cabin and two berths in the main saloon. The galley is located on the starboard side with a stainless steel bench top, hot and cold water, ice chest top, and two burner LPG gas cooktop. There is a hot and cold transom shower and manual toilet. A split windscreen, movable dinette table, and full camp covers complete the fit-out.
