About this vessel
Professionally built in South Africa in 1984 of C-flex solid fibreglass, Morning Star's current owner has spared no expense in recently refitting her to a high standard, making her a superb extended-duration cruiser or comfortable liveaboard with classic styling.
From a Bruce Roberts design inspired by Joshua Slocum's famous "Spray", she won't set any speed records, but she has proven herself in extreme conditions. At 47 ft LOA, she's extremely beamy and stable, with saloon and cockpit space to spare, and both forward and aft double cabins have en-suites.
Her prior owner purchased her in Fiji and sailed her solo to NZ. See link below for video of her at the time of his purchase (previously called "Heritage") - note the dinghy lifter has been replaced by davits, the wind generator and water-maker are now removed, and many other improvements have been made.
The current owner has purchased his next project and is keen to pass Morning Star on to her next proud owner. Her 15m Nelson Marina berth is transferable.
