This vessel has received extensive upgrades and improvements since 2021. The standing rigging, mast work, and sails were renewed by Hansen Rigging with new main and 122% jib in 9 oz Dacron. The running rig and mast were refurbished, spreaders anodized, and lazy jacks added to the boom. Navigation systems were modernized with a Raymarine Axiom 7 dv chartplotter and E100 autopilot. The engine cooling system was serviced, exhaust manifold rebuilt, and a new propeller and PSS shaft log installed. A Lewmar windlass with foredeck and cockpit controls was added, along with a new Mantus 25 lb anchor. Structural repairs addressed the Catalina Smile and hull blisters. Electrical systems were upgraded with a new alternator and, most recently, a 200 Ah LiFePO house battery system with AGM backup and Victron charging systems.
Deck and cockpit systems include new VHF with AIS receiver on Seatalk network, masthead wind transponder and tricolor, depthsounder, GPS with plotter, electric bilge pump, and cockpit speakers and table. The cabin features LED stateroom reading lights and a refreshed interior with new stereo with Bluetooth. Hot water, marine head, refrigerator, and a Force 10 two-burner oven with oven round out the accommodations. A spray hood, swimming ladder, and shore power inlet complete the package.
