The 372 was introduced by Tartan and designed by Tim Jackett as a replacement for the very popular Tartan 37. The 372 maintains the timeless Tartan lines but with an updated hull form, more ergonomic cockpit, new interior layout and improved sailing performance with live aboard comfort.
Miles Away II has been used seasonally on the fresh waters of Lake Superior until she was brought to Florida in October 2024. She was stored on the hard for the 2025 summer season in Florida. The owner's personal attention to outfitting, upkeep and maintenance is evident throughout. You'll find her in turn-key, set-sail condition having added 55K of equipment and upgrades in the last 4 years. Miles Away II comes with the Scheel keel for a shoal draft of only 4' 9". This meticulously maintained example of a Tim Jackett designed vessel appeals to the cruiser at heart, but also satisfies the avid club racer.
Miles Away II boasts a well appointed cockpit with updated Raymarine electronics with radar and beautifully maintained brightwork throughout. The Mack Stack Pack semi-automatic mainsail cover and lazy jack system make short handing the boat a breeze. Newer sails, water maker, AIS, solar, and more complement the vessel. On deck and below you'll find attractive functional spaces ready for cruising.
Starting in the forward cabin is a large custom extended V-berth for two with shelves outboard and above and storage in drawers and lockers below. There is a large, overhead opening hatch to provide light and ventilation.
Next aft is the main salon with U-shaped settee to starboard, centerline table with leaves and a straight settee on port. Lockers and shelves are outboard and above on both sides and there is some storage space below the settee cushions. A large, overhead opening hatch and six opening ports provide light and ventilation.
The U-shaped galley is aft to starboard and consists of a stainless steel sink with a tall faucet, hot and cold pressure water as well as manual foot pump water, 2 burner Princess CNG stove with oven, large well insulated icebox with refrigeration and freezer and abundant storage in lockers and drawers.
Opposite is the sit down nav station with chart table and electronics including 12 volt and 110 volt breaker panel, Raymarine chartplotter, Raymarine multi display, VHF, EPIRB, AIS, solar charger regulator, battery charge and fuel tank indicators.
Aft to port is the head with a composting toilet, shower with sump, sink with hot and cold pressure water and storage. There is an overhead hatch and opening port for light and ventilation.
The owner's cabin is aft to starboard and includes a large double bunk, shelves outboard and above, hanging locker, overhead opening hatch and opening port for light and ventilation.
