August 2026 update – just relaunched after new antifouling, propspeed, and hull polish, etc.
This 1989 Vindex 470 was built by Nobel Craft and presents very well thanks to how well she was built and how well she has been maintained. The woodwork throughout still looks excellent.
The walkthrough transom leads to a large teak cockpit, which includes three large hatches to under-deck storage. A sliding door gives easy access into the open saloon, with couch seating down both sides, a dining table forward, and a bar/entertainment cabinet in the starboard aft area. The galley is forward, down two steps, and includes plenty of bench space, an oven, fridges, and lots of storage.
The three cabins in the bow are well laid out, and all cabins have a good amount of cupboards for storage of clothes and personal items. The forward Master Cabin has private access to the large starboard-side head with a separate shower. A double cabin is also on the starboard side, while a third cabin with two bunks is on the port side, with the second head situated aft of this cabin. Dedicated sleeping for six people (not counting the saloon and flybridge couches).
The flybridge has a good amount of room with seating all around. The helm provides great visibility and features a large 18-inch Garmin Touch Screen plus the usual controls, including trim tabs and VHF radio.
The boat is powered by twin 306 hp Volvo Penta TAMD 61A's running through shaft drives. The engine room provides plenty of space for servicing the engines, as well as the Onan generator and other systems. There is even a crane on the foredeck, which makes launching and storing the RIB tender a breeze.
A Condition Survey from September 2023 is also available to read during boat viewings. The owner would also consider shared ownership options for the boat and marina berth.
We have reconditioned the following on both engines in the last 12 months. All receipts are available, so the engines are running very sweet.
We replaced the Electrasan toilets a couple of years ago and installed two new toilets with a 120 L holding tank. They work well.
New trim tabs were also fitted two years ago.
