EMERALD is a 165'5" (50.4m) Feadship originally built in 1990. She was the subject of a complete 16-month rebuild in 2023 at Balk Shipyard, including an extension from 48m to 50.4m. Designed as a world cruiser, she combines the pedigree of a classic Feadship with economical operation and extensive technical and aesthetic upgrades. EMERALD was also a finalist at the 2024 Boat International World Superyacht Awards.
Cruising comfortably at 11 knots with a top speed of 14 knots, EMERALD offers a range of approximately 6,200 nautical miles at 11 knots, providing transatlantic capability.
The technical rebuild included new Quantum extending fin stabilisers for use underway and at anchor, completely new navigation equipment, new audio visual and IT equipment, a new satellite TV system and satellite communications including Starlink.
The rebuild included a complete strip out of the interior and a completely new interior by Design Unlimited, together with a reconfiguration of the layout. The arrangement now features a forward-facing master suite and adjacent VIP suite on the main deck, complemented by four further guest suites on the lower deck, accommodating 12 guests total. The main saloon was opened up to create a more spacious, contemporary living area with large windows, a light and contemporary interior, and separate lounge and dining spaces. A completely new commercial galley, walk-in fridge and freezer, and new laundry further support extended cruising.
