Built by Alan Warrick to go out wide and find blue water, Oversea'er is a 14.5m balsa-cored game boat built and kept in NZ survey from 1994 to 2015, much of that time in private use. She was built for charter work and tough conditions, and in our view she is one of the last good ones. A recent survey has been completed, and a core sample is available at viewing to show hull thickness.
Space is her standout feature. There is 1.9m of headroom through the cockpit and saloon, berths for nine, and three large freezers proven to crash-cool and store a processed marlin at sea. A fresh internal repaint and new headlining give a light, clean interior. With a live bait tank, tuna tube connection, game chair and two wet lockers for dive gear, she is ready for a Three Kings trip.
Mechanically she is well sorted. Twin Cummins 330hp engines cruise at 14 to 16 knots, with two new turbos recently fitted, propellers balanced and regular 100-hour servicing.
Further upgrades include:
Well cared for by her current owner, Oversea'er is now ready for a new owner to bring fresh energy to her. The bones are excellent, and she has many years of offshore fishing ahead.
