Always a popular model, the Commodore 402 rides on a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom and prop pockets to reduce draft. Belowdecks, the floor plan features privacy doors for both staterooms, a full galley, and a separate stall shower in the head. The 402 Commodore has an offset double berth in the forward stateroom as well as a leather salon sofa. The standing headroom in the aft cabin is a rare luxury in a boat this size. Additional features include an electric engine compartment hatch, side exhausts, and a roomy cockpit with seating for eight.
The interior is very clean and well laid out. The settee table drops and can convert to bed. The aft berth can convert into a full bed with privacy curtain. The large v-berth has a privacy curtain.
The galley features a molded stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, Panasonic microwave, electric 110V 2-burner cooktop, and a newer Norcold refrigerator/freezer with lots of storage drawers and compartments.
The shower and head include a large stand-alone stall shower, electric head, tile flooring, and sink with hot and cold water.
The cockpit is large with seating for 5-6 people, a large green bimini, cockpit sink, ample storage under seats and lockers, and newer cockpit seat covers. Stainless steel rails, docking cleats at stern, amidships, and bow, and a Danforth anchor with rope and chain complete the deck features.
