Mark Ellis Charter Catamaran
Overview
About this vessel
This 23.96 metre aluminium passenger catamaran was built in 1996 in Western Australia to a Mark Ellis design. Originally built for Hervey Bay's Kingfisher Resort in Queensland, the vessel was sold in 2007/2008 and repowered before working as a crew transport vessel in Gladstone on the Curtis Island Gas project.
After the project finished in 2010/2011, the vessel was purchased by Magic Charters Melbourne and underwent a major refit by Aluminium Marine in Queensland for $880,000, designed to suit Melbourne's climate and catering requirements. Presently set up as a lunch and dinner cruise vessel, it is easily converted back to a passenger ferry with appropriate seating.
The vessel is approved by the council health department as a registered food premises and lends itself to weddings, birthdays, buffet dinners, cruises, lunch cruises, breakfast cruises, and all types of events. The owner is selling due to retirement, with nothing else to spend on the vessel.
