Spacious and Comfortable Layout
With a generous beam, this catamaran features two full hulls housing two roomy cabins, each with private heads and separate showers. The salon offers a U-shaped dining area, fully equipped galley, and a central helm station—all designed for comfort and live-aboard ease. The two-hulls provide a very stable platform and make for a very maneuverable boat, with spacious cockpit and wide side decks that lend an air of spaciousness on the main deck.
Spiral stairs provide easy access to the fly bridge, which has a custom wood table, ample seating, and an elevated helm bench seat that provides a clear view of the bow. The flying bridge also has a very sturdy, nicely designed, custom awning with aluminum framing. On the main deck, there is ample space aft for a table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors, with a small awning extending back from the fly bridge to provide extra shade.
The salon provides comfortable seating in a U-shaped dining area with a generous table, a full galley, and the centerline helm station forward, featuring a seating pedestal that provides storage and a comfortable view in all directions. The staterooms are quite roomy, each with a head forward and comfortable berths aft, and plenty of space for storage and movement in between. The interior provides ample space for live-boards and is very comfortable for cruising.
Hull and Deck
Built with closed-cell foam-cored fiberglass hulls and decks, the vessel features a straight reverse sheer with sugar scoop sterns. The hull has a gold colored wrap above the waterline. Two-level deck with raised foredeck. A new, custom-framed bimini covers the flybridge. The recessed cabin house structure works with the flybridge design. An anchor locker is located mid-bow with galvanized steel anchor and windlass with wired hand controls. Stainless steel swim ladder on port transom. Stainless steel davit arms support a manual pulley system for dinghy. Windshield wipers are mounted on forward salon/helm windows. Electric bilge pumps are installed in port and starboard hulls, amidships and in engine rooms (4 total), with a manual bilge pump in the aft cockpit, port side.
Reliable Performance
Twin Yanmar diesel engines ensure responsive, twin-hull maneuverability with a comfortable cruise speed and long cruising range. The hull form provides exceptional seagoing qualities, enabling coverage of 1000 nautical miles at nine knots. The two hulls and two engines provide great stability for anchoring and ease of maneuvering, allowing the Maryland to evolve in small spaces.
