Overview

About this vessel

Australian built and delivered, La Palma is a beautifully refined example of the highly regarded Palm Beach 50 Flybridge. Originally built for her long-term first owner and further enhanced by her current custodians, she presents as a classic coastal cruiser that has recently benefited from an extensive list of cosmetic and mechanical upgrades.

Palm Beach Motor Yachts are renowned for their elegant lines, impressive fuel economy and exceptional sea-keeping ability, and this vessel captures those qualities perfectly. Following a comprehensive yard period in March 2026, La Palma presents in outstanding condition.

The saloon offers a practical and welcoming layout with the galley to port and a large L-shaped leather settee to starboard. Palm Beach's signature electric side and rear windows create excellent ventilation and connectivity throughout, bringing the outdoors in and ensuring guests remain connected with the water while underway or at anchor. Internally, the vessel has benefited from numerous refinements including new carpet throughout, while interior varnish has been restored and Corian surfaces have been brought back to a mirror finish.

Accommodation is arranged in a two-cabin layout, comprising a forward master with island queen berth and a guest cabin with over-and-under single bunks. A spacious shared head with a large separate shower stall services both cabins, providing comfortable accommodation for extended cruising. The master stateroom offers excellent natural light, practical storage and a calm retreat after a day on the water, while the guest cabin is perfectly suited to family or visiting friends. Whether enjoying a quiet weekend escape or a longer coastal passage, the layout offers both privacy and comfort for up to four guests aboard.

Up on the flybridge, recent upgrades include refurbished Palm Beach helm chair emblems and new exterior and helm upholstery. A reversible helm bench seat and additional aft bench seating allow guests to comfortably enjoy this elevated cruising space, while a Dometic dual-zone fridge/freezer keeps refreshments close at hand, all protected by a GRP hardtop - making the flybridge the perfect location for relaxed cruising or sunset drinks.

The cockpit is equally well suited to entertaining and extended time aboard. Large storage areas beneath the cockpit sole, accessed via four deck hatches, provide excellent practicality and house the S&K watermaker, allowing for greater independence away from the dock. A cockpit drinks fridge and ice maker ensure guests remain well catered for while enjoying time outdoors.

Powered by twin shaft-drive Yanmar 6LY3-FTP diesel engines producing 430hp each, La Palma cruises comfortably at approximately 20 knots with a maximum speed around 30 knots. Handling is assisted by a Max Power bow thruster, supported by two new bow thruster batteries, while a Kohler 6.5kW generator provides reliable power away from the marina including operation of the Webasto air-conditioning system serving the saloon and master cabin.

Navigation is managed through a Raymarine electronics suite including Axiom Pro displays at both the flybridge and lower helm, integrated with GPS plotter and autopilot, along with ICOM VHF and Yanmar digital engine screens - both of which have been refurbished in March 2026. A 3.2m Achilles inflatable RIB with Honda 5hp four-stroke outboard is also included.

A beautifully presented Palm Beach Motor Yacht with timeless styling, thoughtful upgrades, proven cruising capability and low hours, La Palma represents an excellent opportunity to acquire one of the world's most admired motor yacht designs.
