This one owner 2008 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36i has been well set up for solo sailing. The helm has a large wheel and well-placed navigation instruments including autopilot, wind, speed and depth etc. All needed sail lines run back to the cockpit, so reefing etc can be done without leaving the safety of the cockpit. The owner has been keeping on top of the maintenance and she has a full service history.
The two cabin layout provides two large double beds and a good size head with separate shower cubicle. The saloon has a good size galley to starboard with a massive top loading fridge with a freezer compartment. The starboard side saloon C-shaped seating area has a nice table (which can be lowered to make another double bed). To port there is a sliding nav desk next to the switches, VHF & Stereo which can be moved to be forward or aft facing depending on what you need at the time. The couch forward means the boat can comfortably sleep 7 people.
There is also a bonus of a large storage area in the port aft which has plenty of room to store the gennaker and tools etc. There are many other extras including a 2.15m RIB (which can be mounted on the aft) and 3 hp Mercury.
Interesting fact about the 36i, the "i" stands for injection moulding, the process in which resin is injected under pressure through closed moulds that the company employs for the 36i's balsa-cored decks as well as for other components. This was not done with many brands back in 2007 when this model was released. It makes for lighter, stronger structures and cleaner, more environmentally friendly factories. The hull itself is hand-laid fiberglass utilizing two layers of vinylester resin, to which an internal fiberglass grid — Jeanneau calls this its "3rd Generation Hull Structure" — is glued and laminated for strength and rigidity.
