About this vessel
A proven offshore champion with an exceptional pedigree, Zero Gravity is a custom-built Reichel/Pugh 51 designed to excel in the world's toughest offshore races while remaining highly competitive on the regatta circuit. Built by renowned Australian boatbuilder Mal Hart in Melbourne, she combines outstanding performance, reliability, and simplicity in a package that continues to deliver results at the highest level.
Professionally maintained and continuously refined throughout her life, Zero Gravity has benefited from ongoing performance optimisation by experienced owners working alongside Nelson/Marek Yacht Design. The result is a yacht that offers TP52-level speed and excitement without the complexity, maintenance burden, and operating costs associated with sophisticated hydraulic systems.
Unlike many pure race boats, Zero Gravity delivers genuine offshore comfort, making her equally suited to major ocean races, coastal classics, and competitive regatta campaigns. Her straightforward systems, proven reliability, and extensive sail inventory ensure she is ready to race immediately.
Major Refit – August/September 2025
Zero Gravity underwent a significant refit and upgrade program including installation of kelp cutter, replacement of lower rudder bearing, complete mast service and repaint, partial deck repaint, rudder and keel fairing, offshore boom refit, and comprehensive systems review and maintenance.

The yacht features an up-to-date sail inventory developed in collaboration with Quantum Sails, Quantum Racing/Windquest, and Nelson/Marek Yacht Design, with particular focus on reaching and downwind performance to maximise offshore competitiveness under IRC.
